Hugh Robinson elected Chair of Skills for Security Northern Ireland Country Consultation Group

Hugh Robinson - principal of our Centre of Security Excellence has been elected Chair of the "Skills for Security Northern Ireland Country Consultation Group". This is part of a Four Country Strategy (England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales) Hugh reports back to stakeholder committee meetings in England where all four countries of the UK are represented. A Skills and Qualifications Strategy is being looked at for NI, common themes to be addressed are as follows;

1   Understanding the demand for skills

2   Improving the skills level of the workforce

3   Improving the quality and relevance of education and training

4   Tackling the skills barriers to employment and employability
